For example, you want to find out which file or folder takes up more than 800MB for example. Nothing could be simpler, thanks to Large Files and Folders Finder. This free tool will analyze the location you indicate, the K drive in this situation, and will find files and folders that are larger than 800MB – or any other size you care to specify.

The application provides support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. This means you can use it on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions. The interface provides support for two view modes: Grid View and Tree View. You can switch between the two view modes by using the button in the upper right hand corner.

The upper part of the application’s interface allows you to select the drive or folder that will be analyzed.
The lower part of the application’s interface allows you to select what the scan will look for: files, folders, files and folders. The lower part of the application’s interface also allows you to set a “larger than” value.

There’s nothing complicated about using Large Files and Folders Finder. Say you want to find out what files and folders take up more than 800MB on drive K. Here’s what you have to do:
Step 1 – from the upper panel on the interface, select drive K.
Step 2 – from the lower panel on the interface, enter the value 800MB.
Step 3- hit Start (lower right hand corner) and wait for the analysis to complete. The files and folders from drive K that are larger than 800MB will be presented as a list on the interface.
